pydox.calibration.MethodInAir.fit

pydox.calibration.MethodInAir.fit#

MethodInAir.fit(a_float: ArgoFloat, method: Literal['sequential', 'thread', 'process'] = 'thread') → Self[source]#

Compute calibration coefficients for all possible configurations and one Argo float

According to this instance configurations, this method is in charge of:

  • Loading/preprocessing Argo Float data,

  • Loading/preprocessing Atmospheric Reference data (eg: from NCEP),

  • Executing all possible computations, sequentially or in parallel

  • Fill in internal placeholders for coefficients and fit data

  • Generate appropriate figures

All of these steps are delegated to external functions taking the argopy.ArgoFloat and a pydox.commodities.Params (ie one value from self.configs) as input.

Parameters:
  • a_float (argopy.ArgoFloat) – An argopy.ArgoFloat instance to load data from and fit coefficients on.

  • method (str, default=`thread`) – The execution method of all possible configuration(s): “sequential”, “thread” or “process”.

Return type:

Self

Notes

In order to load data that will be used by each fit, we need settings from the list of configurations: But the list of configurations (self.configs) is a list of pydox.commodities.Params that does not contain ALL possibly required settings from the configuration (eg: argo QC).
